May was cool and wet at times, but nature came through with nice spring wildflowers and greenery
Colonnade Ponds produced the first goslings we saw. One gosling was certainly eye-catching with a determined personality showing through.
Other birds catching our eye were cormorants, female red-winged blackbirds and a spotted sandpiper amongst others
The cinnamon ferns fiddleheads were standing out along the East Rail Bike trail
The fresh and not-so-fresh wildflowers in the woods in Lanark Highlands were very appealing
Some insects caught my eye crawling on a fern frond
Raccoons and bear cubs were very eye-catching at Parc Omega
Petrie Island was recovering from the annual flooding. Lots of new growth was in evidence
Nature co-operated with the Annual Tulip Festival. The tulips blooming was timed very well. The concluding fireworks and Drone show was quite spectacular
